SIAP Acoustics recently upgraded the Acoustic Enhancement System at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Seoul, South Korea, from the Mark IV to the Mark V. The Grand Theater, with a seating capacity of 3,022 in a 35,000 cubic meter space, now boasts enhanced acoustic versatility. Our system ensures optimal sound for every performance, from opera to organ recitals, with 234 loudspeakers and a wide range of presets to suit different types of performances.

This upgrade was part of an ongoing collaboration, with special thanks to Mr. Kim Soohyun, Ms. Hyowon Lee, and our Korean partners Youngsul Kim and Kim Tom. We’re thrilled with the results, which include a remarkable RT increase to 3 seconds for unamplified performances.

For those interested, the system’s latest electroacoustic technology, connected via Dante Audio, ensures flexibility and future-proof sustainability. SIAP’s legacy in this hall dates back to 1999, and with our current system in place, the Sejong Grand Theater is now equipped for the future of acoustics.
