A typical SIAP system begins with strategically placed microphones designed to capture every detail of the sound environment. Typically, eight microphones are used: four main microphones positioned above the front of the stage to capture performers, orchestras, choirs, and stage ambiance, and four ambiance microphones within the hall to capture audience room ambiance. For larger stages or unique venues, additional microphones can be added as needed to ensure optimal sound capture.

The processor creates the natural behavior of sound in a physical room by precisely controlling early reflections, late reverberation, and spatial sound distribution. Using advanced algorithms, it generates a seamless acoustic field that mirrors the dynamics of naturally designed spaces, adapting perfectly to the unique needs of each venue.

For spatial audio, the processor utilizes 7th-order coding and decoding to route sound to the correct loudspeakers with precise delays and levels. This advanced technology ensures exceptional resolution for object movement within the sound field, enabling accurate and dynamic spatial placement. Controlled via a spherical panner, this system allows seamless manipulation of sound objects, delivering an unparalleled immersive audio experience.

Sound is distributed through a network of 16 to 250+ loudspeakers, ensuring even coverage throughout the venue. Where possible, these loudspeakers are discreetly integrated and hidden behind acoustically transparent materials, such as panels, fabrics, or balcony soffits, to preserve the venue’s aesthetic. In cases where this is not feasible, the loudspeakers are positioned with care to minimize visual impact while maintaining superior sound quality.
